The R&R Foundation works with Chrysalis to reposition their brand, seeking not only to comfort abuse victims, but to stop terror in the home by tackling it from a 360 degree view. In addition to their crisis shelter, Chrysalis offers transitional housing for up to 24 months, outpatient counseling, as well as community education and prevention programs. Women, children and men are all taught to identify unhealthy relationships and to break away from abusive situations, whether verbal, physical, emotional, financial, and/or sexual. More than 1,200 individuals each year are helped through the efforts of Chrysalis’ dedicated staff and volunteers.
The R&R team provides Chrysalis with communications and Web services that help to educate the Phoenix community through media relations, forums, seminars, speaker’s bureaus and cultural outreach. R&R’s government affairs team is pursuing legislative action, community partnerships and victim advocacy to send the message that domestic violence in any form will not be tolerated in the State of Arizona.
