Habitat for Humanity

Habitat for Humanity Las Vegas builds single-family homes for working families who earn less that 80% of the Area Median Income in Clark County. The homes are built with the help of volunteers and sweat equity on the part of the buyers. Families in the program volunteer their labor to help build other Habitat homes, besides the one that they will eventually purchase, thus building a larger stake in the program’s success. Once completed, the homes are sold to these families at no profit through interest-free mortgages.

Habitat for Humanity Las Vegas revitalizes and stabilizes neighborhoods that cannot support private development. Sponsors, donors, volunteers and qualifying buyers work together to build homes, settle their families and grow a community of neighbors.”

R&R Partners brought 11 volunteers to a Habitat for Humanity home, located at 1321 Miller Avenue in Las Vegas, where the team put in some 66 hours. Volunteers did a variety of jobs, from painting both the home both inside and out to working clean-up to remove building material from the site.
