Three Square is Southern Nevada’s premiere food bank providing nutrition assistance to the residents of Lincoln, Nye, Esmeralda and Clark Counties.
Three Square’s mission is to provide wholesome food to hungry people, while passionately pursuing a hunger-free community. They combine food banking (warehousing canned and boxed goods), with food rescue (obtaining surplus or unused meats, bread, dairy and produce from hospitality and grocery outlets), and ready-to-eat meals for resource optimization and distribution throughout Southern Nevada.
Working with more than 600 partners in 2012 — including non-profit and faith-based organizations, schools, and after school and summer feeding sites – Three Square reached struggling individuals and families with more than 24.5 million pounds of food — the equivalent of 18.8 million meals. Additional partnerships in the fight to end hunger include the gaming industry, local businesses, non-profit agencies, food distributors, higher education institutions, the Clark County School District, government entities, the media, and thousands of volunteers and donors.
A team of R&R Partners employees volunteered a total of 72 hours on two separate occasions in Three Square’s Volunteer Room, where food donations from multiple sources are sorted and repackaged for swift distribution.
