On June 30, 2013, 19 Granite Mountain Hotshots firefighters lost their lives while battling a 2,000-acre wildfire in Yarnell Hill, which is just south of Prescott, Arizona. We couldn’t begin to fathom the heartbreak of this loss — to their families and friends, their fellow firefighters, and their community.
But what we could do was reach out to help.
To honor these firefighters and their families, R&R Partners Foundation — along with our client American Medical Response — hosted a compression-only CPR training course on August 19th.
Employees, their families and friends at each of our eight office locations were invited and each participant donated $19, one dollar for each of the19 families who were affected by this tragedy.
“$19 for 19” raised over $2,300 that day, a small token of our respect for their sacrifice. The firefighters who were lost that day will always be in our hearts…
